The very title of this thread exactly defines what is wrong with the current state of music.
Every kid with an iPhone, some loops and MIDI files now fancies themselves a "producer".

I don't see anything wrong with that though. Isn't this similar to the punk rock fanzine entry:



Benga started making music on his playstation for example.
