I had a few minutes and found the \Users\me\AppData\Local\Bitwig Studio\ empty!
I am now wondering if windows has anything to do with it - permission... etc.
... and
I have re-uninstalled 5.2.7, deleted BitWig Studio within appdata and Documents - as BitWig guys say = to completely take it off.
Re-installed, I open a new project, get any plugin, put some notes in - just for the sake of it. It all works - as it has always done, then saved it, shut audio engine down.
Re started it - that happens!
I also noticed now that \Users\me\AppData\Local\Bitwig Studio\ is not even there !
That tells me there must be a Windows interference, i.e. somehow blocking that side of it.
I even did added Bitwig within the Windows Defender allowed apps - just in case.
Done for now... got to go.
