I'd not heard of it.
I think that the last time I saw something akin to a remake of a Pasolini movie was this crazy little effort:

I recall that it was the first Miike film I saw and while it's not exactly a remake it didn't take long for some of us to see the similarities to Pasolini's Teorema.
It might be time to rewatch both....
