Depends on how close to a real piano you want it to be. If you just want a keybed that you like and don't care about realism, yes then sure those would do just fine. But if you want a keybed to sort of approximate a basic good piano or even be somewhat towards an actual grand piano then the Roland is very hard to beat for the price.
I too did a lot of shootouts many years ago and did another one beginning of this year, comparing various keybeds side by side with grand pianos and the excellent kawai upprigth (model 300 I think) and for the price, nothing really came close to the Roland.
Unfortunately it's quite prone to wear and tear so I'll be buying another one probably beginning of next year. Though ours has been in quite heavy use for about 5 years now. At least 2 hours played every day on average. Then again I suspect the others suffer from the same problem.
