It's Bitwig. Yes.
Developers of software that is very stable and mostly does what it says on the tin. Software that makes it possible to use midi controllers in a way that's actually usefull. That sounds tight without cleaning up shit up too much or adding timing adjustments.
If you read the release notes you might get the impression that they error a lot. But maybe the thing that makes them a little stupid is just that they acknowledge their errors in the release notes (the regressions etc.).
If we forget the installer drama then they changed really a lot under the hood and did that very well.
Msix; the logical explanation (for me at least) is that they thought 5.2 was ready for release and it would take them too much time to fix the msix issues. They need to release because of the upgrade plan. And they are behind the curve already.

Now if we assume they just need to survive and have no evil intentions, then we might be able to enjoy it for many years.
I still don't understand why people here think you would need apple and microsoft stores to sell extensions or content. If they are really in it for the money they have most of the bits in place to do it themselves. They could keep cash for themselves instead of losing lots to the appstore vendors. Profit is in selling content. I don't need it, but it would be no surprise if one day there would be a content store in it. Selling more content funds Bitwig development, so less chance of paying for features.
